BREAKING NEWS
The South African Minister of Finance, Pravin Gordhan, has confirmed that he will be attending the congress and presenting the official welcome address.
 
 
BURSARY PROCESS
The organising committee for the World Economic History Congress is pleased to present a bursary process with the goal of supporting deserving scholars in their attendance and participation of the congress.

Two alternatives are available, namely the ERSA grant for scholars residing in Africa and the Cortes Conde grant for scholars residing elsewhere in the world. The details of the grants can be found here and an application form can be downloaded here and sent along with the supporting documents to info@wehc.org.

Applications will be received until 16 April 2012.
 
 
REGISTRATION IS OPEN
Delegate registration for the 2012 congress is now open. Register online with a credit card or request an invoice, and book accommodation and transport at the same time. In order to secure your first choice of accommodation, we recommend registering right away.

Early Registration Discount - Expires 28 April 2012
Register now for WEHC 2012 and receive a discount on fees. Discounts are also available for full-time academics. Please note that the early registration discount expires on 28 April 2012.
 
 
CALL FOR POSTERS
Don’t forget that WEHC 2012 also includes a Call for Posters. This presents a great opportunity for researchers in the field to showcase work to an international audience. The deadline for submissions is 1 March 2012.

Information for Session Organisaers
Session organisers will be required to submit the final session name, list of presenters, and order of presenters by 31 March 2012. The deadline for full abstracts and papers is 30 April 2012.

WEHC 2012 WEBSITE PROGRAMME SECTION
The WEHC 2012 Congress Secretariat is underway with building the WEHC 2012 Programme section, where you will be able to download accepted abstracts, read full papers and after the Congress, download Speaker PowerPoint Presentations. This Programme section will provide the perfect opportunity for delegates to download papers before and after the Congress, as well as plan their congress sessions around abstracts that appeal to their interests. You will be notified of this useful section of the website via email.
